CHILDREN’S SERVICES
HEAD
START PROGRAM
- This is an early childhood educational program,
federally sponsored and taught by certified teachers to children of
low-income families; 10% of the children have some type of disability. Children ages 3,4 & 5 are taught at the following
locations: Newton, Balls Creek, Longview & Fairgrove. For more

CHRISTMAS BUREAU (Toy Store)

The
Christmas Bureau is a united effort
among local citizens, agencies and
sponsors in Catawba County to
coordinate the sharing of Christmas
gifts with those in need. We also
share information to help prevent
duplication of services, in order to
reach more families in need during
the Holiday Season.

Applications are accepted during
October of each year at the ECCCM
Operations Center and are screened
by the Christmas Bureau.
Distribution of toys, food and
clothes is through the Catawba
County Christmas Bureau to families
in need in mid-December.
